Tour De Force Fundraiser Scotch Plains NJ
Grillestone Restaurant • Bar • Private Event Space will host a charity fundraising event Thursday, Aug. 18, in memory of those lost in the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11 and to benefit the families of police officers killed in the line of duty.
The “Tour de Force” was started in 2002 after Det. Robert De Paolis of the New York Police Department decided to ride his bike to honor the fallen police officers that gave their lives in the September 11, 2001 attacks. It has evolved into an annual four day event in which riders and supporters remember those who died Sept. 11 In their honor, the bike riders and supporters have made it their mission to raise funds for families of police officers around the country who have been killed in the line of duty.
Grillestone will offer $6 Grey Goose cocktails, $7.50 Grey Goose martinis, $3 Blue Moon draft beers and several food specials. The restaurant will donate 50% of bar sales to Tour de Force. In addition, there will be give aways and a tricky tray raffle with 100% of the proceeds going to Tour de Force. There will also be live entertainment by Dominique and Julian.
